Biker Down!

This summer has been rather a pleasant one, lots of warm dry days with bright sunshine, just the type of days you like to ride your bike in.

Recently I’ve not ridden as much, a 2 mile commute with the effort of getting all the gear on, riding for 5 minutes to then take it all off again didn’t appeal as much, but as I was working at Brent Cross an 8 mile commute was more worth while when the sun came out to play.

My First Track Day – Brands Hatch

Over the past couple of months I’d attended two track days as a spectator.  A friend was at Snetterton (where I managed to almost loose my DSLR camera) and then in nicer weather at Rockingham Race Track.  Even though I wasn’t going onto the track, I really enjoyed hanging out in the pits, taking photo’s and generally soaking in the atmosphere.

I’ve Gone ‘Naked’!

IMG_1158.JPGLast month I went along to the MCN Motorbike show at the Excel centre, with the intention of buying a Sports Touring motorbike to replace my Varadero.  I also had no intention of buying a Honda again.

Unfortunately, Suzuki didn’t seem all that keen on selling me a GSX1250FA.  Trying to arrange a test ride on one seemed impossible!  Then, as my Varadero went in for it’s 16,000 mile survey the lent me a Honda CB1000R once again.  This is the bike I used for a day 3 years ago and it pursuaded me to move up to a 1000cc bike.
